Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Wilson Palacios from Wigan. The transfer is subject to the midfielder getting a work permit. Details of the transfer fee have yet to be released, but it believed to be around £14 million mark.
“We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for the transfer of Wilson Palacios from Wigan Athletic,” said a statement on Tottenham’s website.
“Personal terms have been agreed and a medical completed, we now await the Honduran international receiving his work permit before completing his registration.”
Manager Harry Redknapp will be delighted to have captured the 24-year-old, whom he believes will bring some much-needed bite into Spurs’ midfield.
Meanwhile, Redknapp has also reportedly been working to sign Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea.
