West Ham to sign Adrian Mutu

Hammers’ technical director Gianluca Nani has put the forward on a list of possible Jan signings as the Premier League strugglers look to beat the drop.
Mutu is contracted to Fiorentina till 2012 but his agent agent Giovanni Becali admits the player, close to recovering from injury, could leave in the transfer window. Mutu desires cash after he was ordered to pay Chelsea £14.6 million when the Court of settlement for Sport defended FIFA’s governing for breach of contract. Then we’re going to see in Jan if any offers come in. “Mutu is happy at Fiorentina and has a long contract that’ll be respected. “Mutu’s main problem is the fine that in 1 way or another we should resolve.”. His off-the-field issues have followed him to Italy where he was concerned in a fight at the 4 Seasons hotel in Florence early on in the year.

But Mutu has been such successful at Fiorentina they turned down a big-money offer from Roma in the summertime of 2008. Now though , the Viola are worried the strain of Mutu’s enormous fine, which he has stated he can’t afford, is inspiring his football.

That has alerted Hammers head honcho Gianfranco Zola, who used to play for Chelsea, and his Italian compatriot Nani is now using his contacts back home to analyze taking the arguable ace.
